Forest Environment

 1. Summer Weather and Climate: Generally speaking, summer in the forest means hotter temperatures and more humidity. Dappled light and shadow are produced as a result of sunlight passing through the dense vegetation. It frequently rains, which feeds the vegetation and adds to the ecosystem's general lushness. Wildlife Activity: Wildlife in the woodland is very active throughout the summer. This time of year is crucial for breeding and raising young in many species. While mammals like deer, squirrels, and rabbits seek for food and tend to their young, birds build nests and care for their chicks. Invertebrates, such as insects, are abundant. Flora and Fauna: The woodland is alive and thriving in the summer. Full-bloom trees and plants are presenting a vibrant array of green leaves and vibrant flowers. Undergrowth frequently forms a thick carpet on the forest floor. Numerous species, including birds, insects, mammals, and reptiles, are active and out in the open, taking advantage o

Different Types of Birds

 1. Raven Appearance: With an average length of 24-27 inches (61-69 cm) and a wingspan of about 46-47 inches (117-120 cm), ravens are comparable in size to crows. In the appropriate lighting, they have glossy, black plumage, and their feathers have a purplish or bluish sheen. Distribution: across the Northern Hemisphere, ravens can be found across North America, Europe, Asia, and even some regions of North Africa. They are able to survive in a variety of habitats, including woods, mountains, coastal regions, and urban settings. Intelligence: One of the most intelligent bird species, ravens are thought to be very intelligent. They are noted for their aptitude with tools, exhibit sophisticated social behaviours, and excel in problem-solving. Ravens can somewhat mimic human speech and are able to recall certain faces. 2.Woodpecker Appearance: Ravens are considered to be among the most intelligent bird species. They are renowned for their tool proficiency, exhibit refined social tendencie

1.Gorilla Species and Classification: The Eastern gorilla (Gorilla beringei) and the Western gorilla (Gorilla gorilla) are the two varieties of gorillas. Subspecies are further separated within each species. The mountain gorilla (Gorilla beringei beringei) and the eastern lowland gorilla (Gorilla beringei graueri) are both members of the genus Gorilla. The Cross River gorilla (Gorilla gorilla diehli) and the western lowland gorilla (Gorilla gorilla gorilla) make up the Western gorilla. Habitat and Distribution: The woodlands of central and eastern Africa are home to gorillas. They live in a variety of environments, such as swamp woods, lowland rainforests, and montane forests. Several nations, including Uganda, Rwanda, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Cameroon, Nigeria, and Gabon, are home to gorillas. Conservation Status: Due to habitat degradation, poaching, and diseases, gorillas are considered an endangered species. Their populations have dramatically decreased throughout time

Medicinal Plants from the Forest

 1. Calabar bean (Africa) Calabar bean is a perennial climbing plant that is indigenous to tropical West Africa, mainly Nigeria and Cameroon. Its scientific name is Physostigma venenosum. The most dangerous components of the plant are found in the bean, also known as ordeal bean, including physostigmine, eseroline, and calabarine. Calabar bean has been used for its therapeutic benefits while being extremely poisonous. Treatment of glaucoma, a disorder characterised by elevated intraocular pressure in the eye, is one of its primary applications in conventional medicine. Physostigmine, the main ingredient in calabar beans, inhibits cholinesterase. Acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter involved in several physiological processes such as muscular contraction and the control of intraocular pressure, is broken down by the enzyme cholinesterase. By cholinesterase inhibition, physostigmine prolongs cholinergic activity, lowers intraocular pressure, and relieves glaucoma symptoms. However, it's
